A primary teacher explains to her class that she is an Adelaide Crows fan.

She asks her students to raise their hands if they, too, are Adelaide Crows fans.

Everyone in the class raises their hand except one little girl.

The teacher looks at the girl with surprise and says, "Mary, why didn't you raise your hand?"

"Because I'm not a Crows fan," she replied.

The teacher, still shocked, asked, "Well, if you are not a Adelaide Crows fan, then who are you a fan of?"

"I am a Port Power fan, and proud of it," Mary replied. The teacher could not believe her ears.

"Mary, why, please tell, why are you a Port Power fan?"

"Because my mum is a Port Power fan and my dad is an Port Power fan, so I'm an Port Power fan too!"

"Well," said the teacher in an obviously annoyed tone, "that is no reason for you to be a Power fan. You

don't have to be just like your parents all of the time. What if your mum was a prostitute and your Dad was a drug addict, what would you be then?"

"Then," Mary smiled, "I'd be an Adelaide Crows fan."

Ahhh I first heard that one referring to a Collingwood supporter - very good and for the Brits and Americans these two teams are bitter rivals in the same small city (Adelaide) in Australia. Think ManU and Man City or San Fransisco 49ers and (the then) Oakland Raiders. For those of you who are interested in these things the Port Powere equate to Man City and Oakland with the same forest sized chip on their shoulder.
