dairy queen
I'm a British citizen and will pick up my shiny new passport from HMPO next week. Here's the thing. The week after I need to apply for my (one year) marriage visa extension. Will I need to transfer current visa stamps from the old passport before I can apply for the marriage visa extension, or can I just use the new passport and maybe get the stamps transferred the day I apply for the visa extension? I really don't want to go for the marriage visa extension and then be told I must transfer the relevant stamps to the new passport first. Thanks in advance for help on this! DrJack54
Advice re extensions marriage will be along. I did my extension (retirement) and transfered information to new pp at same time. This was at CW. Can't imagine why marriage would be any different.
ubonjoe
You can apply for a extension of stay (visas are not extended) based upon marriage and do the stamp transfer on the same day. The stamp transfer would be done first (visas are not transferred).
