toast1
Tooth is chipped at the base, just by the gum. Is this something that needs filling, or can it just be left? Its only a small chip in the tooth, not noticeable, but I don't know if this might cause problems if left. Anyone know what to do about this? Crossy
Since you are in the UK I'd get my backside down to the local dentist, even if you can't get NHS a checkup won't break the bank. You should get a decent review of what's going on and what's needed to sort it. I would probably get it fixed back home, I'm not a great lover of dentists but have had no issues in Thailand on the few occasions I've had to avail of their services. tonray
If the chip has exposed the layer under the enamel (Dentin layer) then it will eventually decay and cause major issues once it rots down to the root. Go to the dentist !
toast1
Thanks for the information. As it is at the base of the tooth, the gum appears to be growing over it, it is only a small chip but I will get it checked out! Thanks
