taximan1954
Hello, I am making plans to come to Thailand to live full time in the near future, I am married to Thai and we have a house in Issan, What would be my best option regarding visas and flights, If I get the married visa here in the UK would I only need a one way ticket? or my other option would be to go visa exempt and sort out the marriage visa over there but I would need to get a return ticket, Any suggestions would be much appreciated. fishtank
If you have a Visa you don't need a return ticket. Without a Visa you do. Back in the day return tickets were not that much more expensive than singles. No idea now.

Upnotover
If you can easily get a single entry non-O based on marriage from the London embassy then that's ideal. Gives you 90 days in which to put your THB400K in a Thai account before going for the 1 year extension of stay. If you needed any more time a 60 day extension could be had. The least amount of "sorting out" in immigration offices in Thailand the better. And yes, with a non-O no return or onward ticket issues.
