As Cambodia awaits the arrival of 1.5 million Sinovac vaccines from China on Friday, a total of 323,689 people have already got their first shot of the Sinopharm or AstraZenaca COVID-19 vaccines with another 140,183 getting the second dose of the Sinopharm.

 

According to the Ministry of Health, 212,925 of the civilian population have received their first dose while 44,478 the second dose. As for military personnel, 110,764 have got their first dose and 95,705 their second dose, as per the Ministry of Defence.

 

The shipment of 1.5 million Sinovac doses expected Friday will replenish vaccine stocks at a critical stage in Cambodia’s efforts to contain the February 20 incident. It will be the second shipment of COVID-19 vaccines provided to Cambodia by China, after 600,000 Sinopharm doses arrived on February 7.
