Neeranam
I was thinking about major moments in my life that I remember with songs. What are your memorial songs? Bohemian Rhapsody(Queen) my first single. Not counting "long haired lover from Liverpool" or the Wombles. "Fernando"(Abba) when I had my first slow dance and snog at a camp, aged 11. Next, "Moonage Daydream"(Bowie) playing in my bedroom when I lost my virginity, aged 15. "White Riot"(The Clash) aged 13 when I heard it in a London record shop, changed my teenage life as a punk. "Heroin"(Velvet Underground) aged 15 when I got into drugs. School's Out(Alice Cooper) a new adventure. "Always the Sun"(The Stranglers), 1990, on the radio a lot when I was in a drug and alcohol rehab in a cold Scotland, when I decided to move to Thailand. "The drugs don't work"(The Verve) 2000, when I had my last drink in a pub on Khao San Road. "My Sweet Lord"(George Harrison), when I went to India for 6 months to learn meditation and found the meaning of life. "How great thou Art"(Elvis) my father's favourite song. "I'm Free"(Soup Dragons), big hit on the islands when I moved to Thailand, esp the first full moon parties on KPN. "Wish you were here"(Pink Floyd)played at my best friend's funeral. "When you say nothing at all"(RonanKeating), my wife's favourite song, a hit when we met. "Blitzrieg Bop"(Ramones) what I want played at my funeral.

canthai55
1970 - turned 16 - had a 57 Chevy all ready to go. Asked at high school where I could buy a stereo (8 track days) Guys "In" the business dutifully came around with one, and a beer box full of tapes. In that box was Led Zeppelin 2 - Whole Lotta Love Changed my life.

He had just sold a house to or for Jimmy page and played the following for weeks after his near death experience.
