You can also pay in cash. COD. No banking details required. No QR code required. What's your point? This seems to be all about NOT accepting delivery before checking what you've got. Some times checking takes me a few minutes to do. Boxes are usually taped up very well and sometimes just getting into the box and taking off the bubble wrap is not the easiest process. Do the people who deliver this have to wait? If so you can forget about next day or day after delivery and the delivery guys will miss out on money. More rules made by idiots who can't see past their nose. -

Yes , neutral is likely grounded every 3rd pole. The ground will be a separate wire running down the pole to ground or as I have seen in some older installations, joined to the protruding rebar at the top of the pole. Of course you will still be providing your local earth. -

Just while we're on the subject of cultural nuances... On a couple of occasions, I have asked a vendor whether I might have given them a larger bill than they gave me change for. Mind you, I merely asked, uncertain whether the correct change had been given or not, and certainly didn't expressly accuse anyone of shortchanging me. On both occasions, my inquiries were met with absolutely explosive indignation with the vendor broadcasting her outrage to everyone in earshot. On one occasion, having a way to reconcile my expenditures once I got home, I realized that I was mistaken, and I went back the next week and profusely apologized to the vendor. Suffice it to say, that the vendor did not take my apologies very graciously, and one week later was still was acting like I was some sort of a flimflam artist, even though I was a longtime and good customer. I know in the village I live in, if someone accused someone of stealing money like in the article, a lot of people (especially women) would be down at the police station filing defamation claims, and demanding compensation for their damaged reputations, and public apologies. -

Yes, I’ve read that article too. The delay is due to the eVisa system not yet being rolled out to all embassies. To get an idea of when the ETA system will be fully implemented, keep an eye on the eVisa system’s expansion. Once it’s widely available, the ETA will likely follow, as both systems will be integrated into a single, unified online portal. -
