I paid my Mortgage off in 4 years which was about 6 years before I 1st rented the house out so nobody has ever paid anything off my mortgage except me. The Tenants are a very nice couple, friends with all of the neighbours & I doubt they hate anybody. When they originally moved in they asked for an 8 month contract as they were planning to buy a property themselves, 1 month in they decided they liked living there so asked for a an additional 17 months to take it to a 2 year contract. The rental income doesn't form part of my budget for Thailand, I tend to just ignore it and at the end of the Tax year use a lot of it doing something to the house (Landscaping, new Boiler redo the driveway etc..) & the remainder is used to pay for my trips to the UK. Oh & they probably still think I'm working in Singapore :)
