New qurantine rules

Featured Replies

Does anyone knows if those who has arrived before April 1st and served 11 nights will be allowed out on April 1st.

My quarantine hotel, Aster hotel in Pattaya, doesn't know, they are following the rules and regulatives from the Chonbury goverment, and they don't send out any message about it.  My quarantine is finished April 4th with 15 nights server.  Norway is not on the list of countries to do automatic 15 nights!

I am sure it will only apply to those who arrive on or after the 1st of April.

Simple easy answer to this. The rules apply to new arrivals from April 1st. Enjoy your last few days.

Detained at Amber Hotel, Pattaya. Arrived a few days ago. On day 7 now, and had negative COVID-19 test on day 3 and been told the following: -

Must serve 15 night detention, (that’s the word Amber uses), if arrived before 1st April.

Must be detained in room until  negative 2nd COVID-19 test on day 11. Can then go to relaxation area for 1 hour per day. Not use gym.

Have friends in Bangkok who are permitted to leave room after 1st negative test. Mentioned this to management. “We follow Chonbury rules not Bangkok rules.”

Hope this all assists.

I'm in Bangkok on day 9 in quarantine I asked the hotel if it was possible to leave on day 11. I had a negative test for covid done on day 5. All I have got for an answer was they would look into it.. I guess I will take that as a no.. Pretty ridiculous really.

I read ‘somewhere’ that those arriving before April 1st have to do the full 14 days (15nights) meaning someone who arrived on March 31st gets out after someone who arrives on 1st April !!!

Go figure the logic there !!!!

(can’t recall where I read that)

Seems different hotels have different interpretations of the rules.

One friend said allowed out 1 day after negative test, another said 3 days after. All these hotels make it up as they go along.

I, knew it was going to be this way when I read about the government going to 10 days. No logic behind keeping one for 14 days if 10 is all that's required, but then again this is Thailand. 555
