New death COVID announced – total now 103 for Cambodia

The Ministry of information has announced another COVID death for Cambodia – bringing the total to 103 direct cases. The deceased was a 24-year-old Cambodian man named Ros Meas, a factory worker in the economic zone in Pochentong, Phnom Penh, living in Kvit village, Taing Krasaing commune, Batheay district, Kampong Cham province.

 

On April 24, 2021, the patient was admitted to the Cambodia-China Friendship Hospital in Phnom Penh for treatment of chronic kidney failure. On April 29, 2021, he was admitted to Cheung Prey Referral Hospital with severe fatigue.

 

Due to his serious illness, on the same day, a team of doctors at Cheung Prey District Referral Hospital sent him to Kampong Cham Provincial Hospital with a diagnosis of severe pneumonia and chronic kidney failure. The patient was given the first COVID-19 rapid test on April 29, 2021, with a negative Kovid-19 test.
