Illegal land occupation
To establish the factual boundaries - simply visit the land office. If the land does have a channote, it doesn't matter if someone moves the corner markers or steals them completely - the GPS co-ordinates are recorded. If you can get the 'squatter' to visit the land office with you, they might persuade him of the error of his ways. Your local police force might 'evict' him for you at a cheaper rate than the lawyer. -

That didn't answer my question though. I saw your follow-up posts and find your tale unconvincing. You did have a non-immigrant visa or extension thereof after all, you just claim that they didn't check. Anyway, this kind of story from the backwaters isn't unheard of. Whether false or actually true in a particular lucky case, you cannot rely on being able to renew for 5 years anywhere unless you have the appropriate visa status. -

an update to my own question and some info for others: Here is the updated CoR application as of today. They added a box so you can ask for as many CoR pages as you need. The requirements are also stapled to the front. Like Tod said, all thats required is: - copy of passport photo/data page - copy of passport stamp - copy of tm30 (MUST BE 10+ DAYS) they said my 1 night tm30 wasn’t enough, I had to come back with a 10+ day tm30. also, its 200b per CoR you want. I got 4, two for motorbike + car license, one for motorbike ownership and one for bank account. So 800b. another thing, I’m on a DTV so I brought a copy of dtv visa and they took that, but not sure if its required. -

Where to apply for non-immigrant 'O' visa (over-50) without drawing UK pension?
That is a great idea and exactly what I want to do. I am just not sure whether they will accept a U.K. bank statement for both proof of address and proof of funds. If not, I then have to provide my U.K. driving licence which has a different address to my bank statement. Just trying to avoid any issues. -
