The surge of the pandemic in Thailand is beginning to start lining up some bigger casualties. Thailand was preparing to start opening up to international tourism and the new surge of Covid-19 could potentially set the plans back.

Thailand’s largest wholesale vegetable market partially closed for three days

Simummuang Market, Thailand’s biggest vegetable and fruit distribution centre located in Pathum Thani province’s Lam Luk Ka district, is partially closed from today (Wednesday) until Friday after some workers there were found to be infected with COVID-19.

Thai domestic airlines remind PM of their need for financial help and vaccines

The Airlines Association of Thailand (AAT) today called on the government to speed up the injection of funding, in the form of soft loans, to seven Thai airlines and to arrange for a special quota of Covid-19 vaccines for their frontline staff.

Move Forward party proposes law amendment to prevent distortion of laws

The opposition Move Forward Party is working on a bill, to be submitted to the House of Representatives, seeking to amend the Criminal Code to prevent law enforcement officers from distorting the law in a way which could benefit or cause damage to the accused or defendants.

Professor of Pediatrics of the Division of Infectious Diseases of Mahidol University’s Faculty of Medicine Siriraj Hospital, Prof. Dr. Kulkanya Chokephaibulkit, who is an expert in COVID-19 vaccines and their side effects, has provided information about the vaccines developed by Sinovac and Astrazeneca. The AstraZeneca vaccine is the country’s primary vaccine against the virus.

Thai Govt. approves walk-in COVID-19 inoculation facilities in all provinces

Thailand’s Public Health Minister Anutin Charnvirakul approved walk-in COVID-19 vaccination facilities in all provinces today (Wednesday), hoping to inoculate at least 70% of the population.

BANGKOK (Reuters) - Americans living abroad are asking Washington to send surplus coronavirus shots to overseas embassies so they can get a vaccine in countries where the pace of inoculations is slow and travelling home is difficult.

Abbot claims Thai rescue foundations asking for money from families of COVID-19 fatalities

The abbot of Bang Muang Temple, in Nonthaburi province, which offers free cremation services for COVID-19 fatalities, revealed that rescue foundations delivering the bodies to the temple for cremation are asking for money from the deceased’s family.
