In an interesting twist, police arrested a 38-year old man for killing his wife and four children, aged between three and nine, before setting fire to his house in a fit of anger on May 9 in Kampong Chhnang province’s Doeu Chrey village. Kampong Chhnang deputy police chief, Brigadier General Ear Buthoeun told Khmer Times that the suspect and his wife were believed embroiled in a heated argument when he committed the heinous crime.

 

Brig Gen Buthoeun declined to give further details as he said the investigation was still in progress. According to neighbours, the suspect was the third husband of the woman and they did not have children of their own. The children were from the deceased two previous husbands.

 

Kampong Chhnang province police chief, Major General Khov Ly told media members that an autopsy done on five of the dead victims revealed that two had died prior to the fire incident. “The suspect who was picked up two days ago, did not speak until yesterday morning when he confessed to killing his wife with a pair of scissors as she was ‘naughty’ and insulted him every day,” said Ly.

Sadly this kind of tragic event happens in most countries.

Losing face seems to be an Asian thing,  tho  there are lots of

people in the world who have thin skin and cannot take any

crtiicism RIP to the woman and her children. The gallows

for the murderer.
