A clip filmed last Friday morning in the Don Mueang area of Bangkok showed a man on a motorcycle with police plates firing into the air after a road rage incident.

Met commander Pol Lt-Gen Phakkhapong Pongpettra ordered an investigation and the swift arrest of the man.

If he was a cop he would face disciplinary and criminal charges, said the chief. If not a policeman it was equally important that he was apprehended to reassure the public, reported Daily News.

Yesterday all was revealed with the arrest of 57 year old Thanet Sukprayoon in the Don Mueang projects.

He was found with three BB guns, ammunition, a police captain's uniform, three radios, clothes he wore during the incident and the motorcycle with the police plate.

He was not a cop. He said he worked in a restaurant.

He claimed that while he was going along Pracha-uthit Road a vehicle in front deliberately tried to make him come off his bike as he braked and turned left.

Then in an angry rage he raced in front of the other guy and fired two shots in the air and fled.

It was a "Model Glock" or "blank gun" that he'd purchased from a BB gun trader in Saphan Lek for 5,500 baht. He admitted the motorcycle was his.

Real police are investigating how he got his hands on the police plate.

The other man involved in the incident Akkaraphon, 35, praised the police and said that claims he braked suddenly and caused the trouble were nonsense.

For now the suspect has been charged with weapons offences.

If it can be proved he had also impersonated a cop in the past he will face that rap too.

A press conference in relation to this incident will be held at met HQ today (Thursday) at 11 am.

"Don't be sad Wannabe. The next time we raid a Chinese gangster's house you can come along be first to knock on the door."

Pretty good. Not a cop he admits it. Has a police captains uniform in his house. His motorbike has police plates and he admits he is not a policeman. Damn, might be hard to prove that.

looks rather a small man.....

Many a small man becomes a false giant when wearing a uniform, badge and a gun.

You're definitely onto something there

Another psycho who is in dire need of a lobotomy

Makes me wonder if he pretended to be a cop at night, and has stopped a few people for tea money, already?

Geezer
