Thai netizens have stopped being irate.

Now they are happy - at least for the moment.

This was because of a post on the "Chorp Jang" page out of Bang Saen, Chonburi.

Showing glasses of green liquid from the sea they claimed this was "Green Tea" that was "Free, a special promotion while stocks last na kha".

As Daily News reported this was just the natural phenomenon known as an algal or plankton bloom in English that turns the water temporarily bright green.

It happens every year.

The Thais call the spectacle "Khee Plaa Waan" - Whale pooh.

Also Kown as HAB    Harmful Algal Blooms because they cause a lot of deaths in different groups of marine invertebrates. dead sea urchins washed up on beaches are often blamed on storms out at sea, but many are due to HABs

I guess that's better than Pattaya brown.

Thais love a good laugh - check out their awful TV complete with gurning faces, funny sound-track and stock victims.
