geovalin Posted June 5, 2021 Share Posted June 5, 2021 The Ministry of Health of Cambodia has announced that it has found the mutated B1.617 COVID-19 virus – also known as the “Indian variant” – in three workers returning from Thailand. According to a statement from the Ministry of Health dated June 4, 2021, the Institut Pasteur du Cambodge has detected the presence of B1.617 COVID-19 in three patients – all of whom are Cambodian workers returning from Thailand. It certainly would appear to be gaining more ground . In the UK, they have a real problem with this Variant ( Delta, Indian whatever ), and its threatening to put the Country into another lockdown. steevjee Posted June 5, 2021 Share Posted June 5, 2021 Yes people, this is the real deal, at least 50% more virulent than the original, some experts believe it's 100% more virulent If you aren't yet vaccinated then play it very safe, especially if you're mixing with strangers indoors and get yourself an N90 mask for those occasions.
