I am looking to take a road trip, down to Koh Lanta, and the south. Want to explore either Koh Mook, or Koh Libong. Anyone been there lately? I hear Koh Lanta is holding up, during Covid, and I booked an amazing 5 star resort for 30% of the normal price. 

 

This is such a great time to travel, the locals appreciate the patronage, and I appreciate the bargains! Not sure about the smaller Trang Islands. Hard to get info on them, and their current state. Any knowledge out there? Any thoughts or info would be appreciate.

Spoke to a few hotels today. Koh Lanta seems to be fine. All the Trang islands are closed. Lack of tourism, combined with 40 or so cases in the province was enough. Fear of the coming Zombie Apocalypse? 

I have a house an hours drive away from Lanta stayed there twice during "normal" times and that was enough...goodness knows what its like now....we visit Ao Nang every couple of months and even there they are struggling but at least the roads are good/pavements and street lighting working and a few restaurants are still open.....????
