In the early hours of Wednesday Morning a 44 year old woman made her way to Banglamung Police Station to inform officers that she had just been raped and then robbed in a secluded beach behind the Sukawadee Mansions in Banglamung. The woman, whose identity is withheld, explained to Police Lieutenant Colonel Giwatanapong that she was drinking at a snooker club in Nong Pla Lai. She was approached by two men who invited her to a Karaoke Bar. The three left on the woman’s motorbike which was driven by one of the men who drove her to the beach, claiming this was a short cut to the karaoke Bar. The two men proceeded to rape the woman and then stole an undisclosed quantity of cash from her before leaving her at the scene.
