I can only praise the health service I have received here over the many years I have been living here , first few years it was at private hospitals ,they were good , example I stepped off a very high path onto a road ,while carrying 10 kg of potatoes in one hand and 10 kg of onions in the other ,I heard a popping sound but no pain , next morning I woke up paralysed from my chest down,went to the Lana Hospital , and went daily for about the next 6 months ,cost 185 Baht a day for massages ,hot and cold treatments,until I could walk again. The last hospital visit was for an accident ,at a Government Hospital, I fell off a ladder hit my head against the wall ,got a friend to drive me to hospital whisked straight in got 16 stitches in my head, had an MRi ?,not xray ,total cost 9K Baht , then had to go to local clinic to get bandages changed everyday, 60 Baht , no double pricing ,no waiting in the corridors on a gurney for hours. regards Worgeordie
