lassebasse
Where can you find a good selection and good prices on mattresses here in Udon Thani? Need one or two new ones, just over 10 years ago we found great mattresses in a furniture store just before the big vegetable market before Makro but now I thought they did not have much to choose from. Do Home, Thai Watsadu or the new furniture giant on the way to Nong Khai? Someone who has tips on where to look for a soft mattress.

Martyjustice
I know it’s a drive, but you would be happy you did. In Ubon( not Udon ) there is a place called TSF furniture. Got a Sealy Posturepedic Presidential pillow top for 34k baht. Yes I paid thru the nose for it, but I am happy every night and morning. Was worth it. Up for a drive? Located in Warin at ring road and hiway to Sisaket.
kwonitoy
Index on the ring road has a big selection but I found them to be almost universally hard as a rock I bought my last mattress at Robinson's in Central. 3rd floor, they have a very large selection. Go up the escalator and walk back past housewares and the store goes a long way back with a good choice.

A long lasting sale in late autumn. Now open under the new name. Some swear that Robinson was better. EDIT: it was in late 2020. Surprised by my lacking memory. About the mattresses: biggest selection in our area was at Global House. We got a pretty decent mattress and not rock hard. Pocket spring mattress as I understood. Never been to Global in Udon as it is off my usual route. It's south of the city on highway #2 (Mitraphap). OtisOtis
I've bought several mattresses from a furniture store near Thai Siri market, north side of road, a few blocks west of Thai Siri market, before border patrol base. For beds I've bought two from the small shop across from Thai watsadu on hwy 2. Sting, nice wooden beds, 6000 b. Finished in a few days, delivered and set up They are on the corner of the road that cuts through to soi nong bua.
