webfact
Picture: Daily News Tha Chana police chief Chutiphon Khemanuwong was pictured at Wing 7 base in Surat Thani receiving into his custody two suspects in a drugs case. They were Songsit or "Joe" 28, charged with running drugs and Hattapong, 32, charged with aiding and abetting a fugitive. Songsit and a man called Theeraphat had been involved in a police chase on Route 41 heading south in Surat Thani at the end of June. Their vehicle overturned and they fled in the night. They were then helped in a convoluted attempt to head north on private and public transport in an effort to cross over a natural border to Myanmar in the Mae Sai area. Theeraphat made it and is still being sought. Daily News reported that it was a big batch that police found in the overturned vehicle - 1,393,600 pills of Ya Ba (methamphetamine mixed with caffeine) and seven kilos of crystal meth. -- © Copyright ASEAN NOW 2021-07-09 - Whatever you're going through, the Samaritans are here for you - Follow ASEAN NOW on LINE for breaking COVID-19 updates
