Just a quick one folks,

I was in thailand in january using a visa on arrival stamp on visa-exemtion status, and unfortunately I overstayed it by just one day.

There was no problem at the airport and I was not made to pay a fine however i will be returning next month and am a little worried about them refusing me another visa on arrival visa-exempt entry, could this happen?

There is a small stamp in my passport below the exit stamp which i believe is to indicate my overstay, I have never done this on any other visit but I'm a liitle concerned.

Should i be?

Many thanks

Mark

Visa terminoligy changed to avoid confusion.

Mark, the reason you did not have to pay an overstay fine is that if the overstay is only one day, Immigration at the airport usually does not collect a fine, but a note regarding the overstay is made just the same in your passport. Based on reports of other members, this overstay note has never had a negative effect on subsequent entries.
