Should I Change Visa?

Featured Replies

Hi

I currently hold a multi-entry non-imm. visa category 'ed'. I will be returning to Thailand in two weeks from the UK (I am a Brit) and I have two questions.

1. When I left Thailand in February, I was stamped with 'overstay not exceeding 24 hours'. I was gutted because I had hoped to go through passport control before midnight. Due to the late arrival of a connecting flight, I actually overstayed by 30 mins. This won't cause me any future problems will it?

Just read a post that answers this already. Sounds like it will be okay.

2. My current visa will expire in November this year. As I don't fall into the categories that would warrant an extension (business, married, retired), and don't want to have to come back to the UK in 6 months, I am wondering if it is possible or advisable to apply for a multi non-imm. 'o' on the basis that I will be living with my Thai girlfriend? Is it possible to get another visa before the current one has expired? Would the old one just get cancelled and a new one issued?

Thanks in advance for any help.

Apply for a one year multi entry at Hull Consulate on the basis of visiting friends

Show them the still valid visa and they surely will 'void' it.

Good luck
