If You Need To Go To Swampy Or Bangkok During Transport Shutdown

As most public transportation links between Phuket and Bangkok (and the rest Thailand) have been suspended until at least mid-August (and likely the end of the month), one of the few ways to get around is by care hire (with or without a driver). Another option is the new Sandbox Express Bus that's been set up by the authorities and runs once a day from Phuket to Suwanabhumi Airport (and I guess you could use it to get to Bangkok/Pattaya as well by airport taxis). The price is B1500 (but is dependant on demand and rises if a certain number of bookings per trip isn't reached). It leaves at 5 a.m. and picks up at Central Mall and Kathu and arrives at 9 p.m. Bookings must be made online.
