Popular Post webfact
Picture: Manager Ten new measures have been announced on the holiday island of Koh Larn that now prohibits entry to anyone not fully vaccinated and all people under 18. Most foreigners will simply be unable to go. They were announced by chief of the residents' association and Covid-19 leader Bunkert Bunying in response to Chonburi entering deep red restrictions. They apply to all tourists wanting to visit the island. A Thai must show their ID card or a picture of that on their phone and a foreigner must do likewise with their hard copy of their passport or its picture. Visitors must have been vaccinated twice with any one of Sinovac, Sinopharm, Astra Zeneca, Pfizer, Moderna or Johnson and Johnson at least fourteen days ago. They must have proof of this on the Mor Phrom app or in documentation from a hospital. Picture: Manager Few foreigners living in Thailand have been vaccinated twice, notes ASEAN NOW. Many have been unable to secure even a first jab especially people in Pattaya. Visitors to Koh Larn who have had Covid-19 90 days ago must show a negative RT-PCR tor Antigen test done within 72 hours. Under 18s will not be permitted entry with such tests and they will not have been vaccinated anyway. Manager further reported that all migrant workers were banned from going to the island and that letters and parcels had to be collected from the port. Locals with medical emergencies or non-vaccinated residents who want to leave must seek permission first. Only three ferries a day will run from Bali Hai to the island departing at 7 am, noon and 5.30pm. People going to the island on speedboats and jetskis must complete formalities at Bali Hai first then go to the main port only on Koh Larn. If their documents are not in order they will be sent back to Pattaya. -- © Copyright ASEAN NOW 2021-08-05 - Whatever you're going through, the Samaritans are here for you - Follow ASEAN NOW on LINE for breaking COVID-19 updates

JackGats
Vaccinated twice with J&J ? I assume Ko Larn conducted an extensive study to ascertain the safety of 2 J&J jabs. Edited August 5, 2021 by JackGats

The ultimate irony. Everyone who comes to Koh Larn must have two shots - except residents who need none.
redwood1
They forgot to include the temperature check and facial scan....... And to think before you just paid 30 baht and then got on the boat (and that was it) Koh Larn is finished......I guess people will just have to abandon their homes and move back to the mainland....

The idea is NOT to do what Phuket did, only vaccinate a minority of locals which has caused all the infections, not the incoming tourists They want only 100% vaccinated people on the island locals and tourists, and then they will open everything safely. That's the correct and only way to do it.

But there is one guarantee that is 100% guaranteed......If no or very few tourist go to Koh Larn....Koh Larn will simply cease to be a place the Thais can live... With no income....
