Officers from the Ban Kruat constabulary in Buriram took a keen interest in a Facebook post from a woman called Aom on her personal page of Aom Freedom.

 

There Aom invited people to come and play cards with her at a quarantine holding facility, Naewna reported.

 

She promised "free food and drink, anything you want" then in a subsequent post spoke of great doctors who were going the extra mile. 

 

Local chief Pol Col Kamphol Wongsanguan went to the center with his men and arrested Aom and Paeng, two local women, along with a man from Udon Thani called Tik and a woman from Pattaya called Paeng with a foreign sounding surname. 

 

Taken into evidence was a cloth and 52 playing cards. 

 

Aom admitted gambling at the Panyawat quarantine center as did the others. She said she had now removed her post.

 

They will all face prosecution on August 15th when their 14 day quarantine for Covid-19 is completed.
