Among high-income developed countries, Canada experiences roughly 2-3 firearm deaths per 100,000 people. Australia is lower again at around 0.76 per 100,000 - approximately 3-4 times lower than Canada. The UK sits at roughly 0.2 per 100,000 - around 4 times lower than Australia, more than 10 times lower than Canada, and approximately 60-70 times lower than the United States. At some point, it becomes increasingly difficult to argue that these differences are merely statistical noise or coincidence. The United States is not a slight outlier. It is in a completely different league from its peer nations when it comes to firearm mortality.
