That is all you need to show in the bank when you apply for single entry non-o visa for being the parent of a Thai at the embassy. As I wrote that is the standard amount for applying for any visa. When you apply for a one year extension of stay here at immigration you will need to prove 400k baht in a Thai bank or proof of 40k baht income.

You can apply for a single entry non-o visa at the Thai embassy in London. The application will be submitted online.

It's £20,000 for the Non O-A based on retirement. Otherwise I agree with the rest of your information based on Non O Thai family.
