BANGKOK (NNT) - Deputy Prime Minister Gen Prawit Wongsuwan, as head of the Phalang Pracharat Party, has assured the group’s MPs and Senators that they will be given freedom to vote as they see fit, on the third reading of the constitutional amendment draft.

Asked if he had any concerns about the coalition’s minor parties, Deputy Prime Minister Gen Prawit Wongsuwan said he had no concerns about their members of Parliament or Senators. He then dismissed rumors his party had struck a deal with Pheu Thai Party to pass the draft.

Head of the Democrat Party, Jurin Laksanawisit remarked he could not foresee the outcome of the vote, stating his party didn’t have any influence over other coalition MPs or the opposition. Nonetheless, he asserted the party had done its best during the session and reminded others that the Democrat party had made its desire to amend the charter clear before joining the coalition.

And who believes this little fat man with a fetish for "borrowed "watches

Well....that's white of 'em to ALLOW the MPs to vote their conscious - if they have one.

Wait I thought he had been downsized and the Secretary General Prompao was leading the ship

Too many high Generals to keep track of.

Mai phen rai.

Time will tell, time will tell...

To reinforce his statement he will hand out breathable plastic bags should there be any whiff of a dissenter ????

No such thing as a free vote.

The good ship Titanic...

Amending this Constitution is like giving someone crutches for a broken leg instead of repairing the break. The person/constitution remains handicapped with limited Freedom of Movement.

Might just make the Constitution more honest by (among many inconsistancies) removing any reference to "democratic" or "democracy."
