Can't upgrade Thai Paypal personal account to business account

Featured Replies

I often see news that Paypal Thailand is relaunching 2021, although existing customers are unaffected.  I wanted to upgrade my personal account to a business account, so that I can set up a subscription payment process using their API.  But it seems that right now, it's not possible to upgrade from personal to business account.

Does anyone know more about this, or a solution whereby I can sell a digital product using a subscription payment process, especially for end-users in mainland China?  Paying with Wechat wallet or Alipay isn't feasible, since I've got no way to receive those funds outside of China!  Paypal is a possible solution, since Paypal China is fully 'open' to members in China (they bought a Chinese payments processor earlier this year).

Thanks

Simon

my advice is to avoid paypal as much as you can.

paypal is the worst and most expensive .

try using PAYONEER  instead, they specialise in china too, or SKRILL for europe

I've never had any problems with Paypal for 20 years ????

I do have a Payoneer account, but none of my 200+ students in China has a Payoneer account, or have even heard of them ????
