JetsetBkk
My financial adviser has advised me to get a will both in Thailand and the UK. I'm not sure how one will is supposed to reference the other, but that's another issue. So I was wondering if anyone can recommend a Thai lawyer who specialises in wills and probate and preferably has an office in Phuket. PS. I'm not ill - this is just preparing for the inevitable which will come in 10, 20, 30... (who knows?), years.
WhiteBuffaloATM
Any lawyer can do this simple work. Find one you are comfortable with & with fair prices. Will Executors should be Close Family & Friends never Lawyers who will consume large parts of your Estate as Executors. Trust Holdings may be best for Life Assurance payouts. Tax must be planned. Important: MUST have Separate unconnected Wills for Thai and Non- Thai Assets, unless millions in play here….for simplicity and to avoid very large Estate legal fees unravelling any connected assets.
