Location Free Tv

Featured Replies

i nead info on a sony LE-PK1.CEK location free tv they are on sale in the UK for just over £100 and will they work over in thailand??? :D:o

Looks at first glance like a Sony version of the Slingbox, so it should work in Thailand (others have reported reasonable results with the Slingbox).

Don't forget you need the base station in the UK with a broadband connection (maybe at a mates house) and another broadband connection here in LoS. It doesn't have a tuner or time-shift so you'll need a VCR/DVR/PVR somewhere (unless you're into watching Corrie at 3AM).

That said, at 110 Quid it could be a useful device :o

EDIT The free alternative is to use one of the P2P sites specialising in UK TV

i forgot to say that its on sale in ARGOS :o

i ahve tried watching nfl/cfl via their web downloads but cannot get enuf bandwidth to have any success :D

so i was toying with the idea of putting a mac in cda as a server connected to a tivo that would allow me to remotely access NA programming and download it to here.

not sure if that would work (any comments) or if the appletv would do the same thing but i sure would like to get at some tv other than what is on offer here :D

anyone done a similar thing?
