stament
Thinking we need to have a change of scenery for a couple of days. Camping could be an option but there's been a lot of rain lately. Any recommendations on where to go within about a 2 hour drive or so? Be good if there were some things for kids to do! Fed up of being couped in the house. Thanks in advance
khunphil
Try Papas garden near doi Saket. Pool, good food, kids playground, gym... They really try hard to please. Nice afternoon with kids.

LawrenceN
Taweechol Horizon is a hidden gem, closer than Doi Saket. Swimming pool, labyrinth, topiary, caged peafowl, ostriches can be fed by hand. Other zoo animals. Museum of Chiang Mai history. Paddle boats and bikes for rent. Very comfortable accommodations onsite. Used to have a buffet on weekends, not sure about that during Covid-19. https://www.tweecholbotanicgarden.com/en/index.php

I and a buddy of mine hang at the pool there when he is in Thailand and the weather/C=19 laws permit. Have done the tram, nice.
BritManToo
Sticky waterfalls, about 30Km up the 1001 (aka Nam Tok Bua Tong). Free entry and parking, and the kids love walking up the waterfalls.
