tomx2
Is the letter of guarantee (from your bank) still required to be with your bank statement. I plan to book my flight sometime in November(depending on the new reopening plan). If all the paperwork is completed, What's the average turnaround time receiving an O-A stamp visa from the Washington DC embassy? If my start-date on the LMG insurance is dated prior to the actual date I arrive in Thailand, will that be a problem with immigration? Thanks. ubonjoe
You will still need a letter confirming your account from your bank. Not sure how long it will take to get a email with your stickerless visa attached after completing the application online since yesterday was the first day for them. Online application site is here. https://thaievisa.go.th/ If your insurance is valid for less than a year you will only be stamped into the country to the day it expires. tomx2
Hi Joe. I went/read the link you provided regarding e-visa. I was planning to enclose my O-A application forms + passport into a large mailing envelope and send via UPS to Washington dc for processing. Is this option still available or do I need to use the online e-visa? TC.

Here is info from https://thaiembdc.org/visas/ Effective from 27 September 2021, the Royal Thai Embassy in Washington D.C. will start implementing new e-Visa service, “Stickerless e-Visa”. Please note that it is no longer required for applicant to submit his/her passport and original supporting documents via mail to the Royal Thai Embassy. After the e-Visa application has been approved, a confirmation e-mail will be sent to applicants. It is kindly requested to print a copy of the confirmation e-mail to present to airline and Thai Immigration officials to carry out checks when traveling to Thailand. Is this option still available or do I need to use the online e-visa? You have to do the visa application online. You cannot do mailed in applications anymore. This from the page on the embassy webpage for a OA visa application. https://thaiembdc.org/2020/11/17/oalongstay/ "1. If the applicant does not have a valid visa or re-entry permit, the applicant must request a visa, at least 15 working days before the intended date of travel, by filling in the information and upload all required documents online at https://www.thaievisa.go.th/ (Please note that the visa application fee is non-refundable)" And now you will get a stickerless visa by email and the online application is approved.
