Hello, everyone!

I would like to ask if someone has experience of paying taxes on gifts? And how does it work in Thailand? If I receive on my Thai bank account financial support from my boyfriend every month, do I need to pay tax from it? (I live on tourist visa, don’t work in Thailand, don’t have tax ID)

A non-spouse, non-ascendant, non-descendant who receives more than 10 million baht in a calendar year would be subject to gift tax on the excess of the 10 million at the rate of 10% paid in the receivers Thai tax return.

Thank you very much for your explanation ???????? I’ve read a lot of articles and I got confused with terminology. Did I understand correct that if I receive less then 10 million baht in a calendar year I don’t need to do anything?
