Late travel to airport vs curfew

Featured Replies

I have a flight leaving Bkk at 0300 hrs in the morning and will have to travel from Pattaya. Will I have to be at the airport before 2200 hrs or will the taxi driver be able to take me there around midnight if we can show my ticket reservation?

I wouldn't call Google my friend even if they would like me to regard them as such but a uselful tool it is nonetheless. As I stated in my post I need to fravel from one province to another while the site you linked to specifically says "Introducing JustGrab (Curfew Hours), a new ride service for essential travel. Our on-demand service enables passengers to travel to-from hospitals and airport during 8pm – 4am in Bangkok area"

I have of course done Goole searches but haven't found anything official that specifically says whether this is allowed or not. I suspect that it will be OK but would just like to hear it from someone who's done it recently.

Why not ask the Taxi service that will drive you to the airport? They must know!

We had a similar situation last month when we had to take our son to Suvarnabhumi for a flight departing at 23:30 hours. We called the police to see what, if any, documentation was required for travel past curfew. We were advised that a copy of son's ticket and passport would be sufficient in the event we were stopped after curfew on the way back. We were in Bangkok, so we did not have a long journey, but we were not stopped.

You'll want to arrange this in advance and confirm all details with the taxi driver or the taxi company when you make the booking.

Good luck.

I  can find lots of companies whom are all desperate for business. That might be something that influences their answers.

Look, if all you want to do is give these snarky replies I suggest you go and alleviate your obvious boredom in another thread, thanks.
