In general, high pressure from China covers the upper country and the South China Sea, resulting in isolated thundershowers during the 18th – the 22nd. The monsoon trough lies across the South and the East while the southeasterly winds prevail over the Andaman Sea, the South, and the Gulf of Thailand, causing thundershower to remain in the areas. During the 23rd – the 24th, another round of high pressure from China will extend to upper Thailand with thundershowers before the easterly wind will prevail in the Gulf and the South, causing constant thundershower and isolated heavy rain in the areas.
