T or F?: These days, only fools use Adobe garbage...

Featured Replies

Dear Folks,

Do you love the subscription model?

If so, then you probably love Adobe products which uses the subscription model to a very extreme degree.

So, I guess you must be happy paying through the nose, and you must appreciate the Great Work that Adobe's Indian CEO has done, ....in screwing the retail customer.

Or, do you dislike this subscription model?

And if so, then what do you intend to do about it?

Here is a fun vid describing the many pleasures of using Adobe products.

I have not used Adobe garbage for at least FIVE years.

If I am not using it, then who?

How does it feel to keep paying, and paying, but...NEVER ACTUALLY OWNING ANYTHING????

What is it they often tell me?

A fool and his money are soon parted?

Best regards,

Gamma

Some day: Adobe will be a distant memory, and then the world will rejoice.

NOTE: If you might have any complaints...then......just talk to THIS guy...

I gotta tell you, Sir....

And, believe me, I HAVE BEEN TELLING EVERYONE ON TV....for a few years now....

The Subscription Model is Destroying the Middle Class.

And, not only this, but the Subscription Model is CRIMINAL, the way it is used.

It is wielded like a club to beat us into submission.

I, Sir, will NOT be a part of this.

Please Folks, CANCEL your subscriptions, beginning today.

Weed out all but those which are most cruicial to your proper functioning.

OF COURSE, please keep Gemini, meaning Google One Drive subscription.

But, the rest: Just give them the DEEP SIX....

The indians are brillant IT specialists, in business, sciences or in economics. But when it comes to their corporate business model policies there are really quite rotten.

I totally agree.

It is in the culture, clearly.

They DO GET the tech, but they do NOT get the culture of where they live, in the USA, and they do NOT understand USA CORPORATE CULTURE, one iota.

And, this will be their undoing.

What they really need are MINDERS....

I would rather consider that they learnt their corporate tricks from the UK and America...and ultimately the disciple overtook the master !!

The corporations which insist upon using the SUBSCRIPTION MODEL are no better than heroin addicts.

What they need is our TOUGH LOVE.

We must STOP ENABLING THEM.....NOW.

A couple of years ago, I went through all the subscriptions I had, and the dollar amount was much more than I thought.

Also, I found out from scrutinizing my credit cards that I as being charged, surreptitiously, without my knowledge for some things, such as webhoting.

I contacted the company to cancel, but they just kept sending me bill, after bill, after bill.

So, I canceled my credit cards, and applied for new ones.

That put an end to their fraud, and it was fraud.

We need opensource software which is paid for, in a fair way, by those who use it most and benefit from it most.

We cannot expect to get great software for free.

But, oftentimes, corporations are willing to subsidize the creation of software, such as Linux, just as an example, so that the entire world can use it for free.

We need to first adopt a model which will replace Adobe, and then we need to fund it, and those who use it most should fund it most.

And, most people should just be able to use it for free, unless they are using it for commercial purposes.

CANCEL YOUR SUBSCRIPTIONS.

Once you begin, you will feel happier.

NETFLIX.....DEEP SIX IT......and go from there.

The Indian business model rests upon the inequality deeply ingrained in India's social system.

And, in America, GUESS WHO they consider the UNTOUGHABLES....?

They see nothing wrong with treading on the backs of the poor.

In fact, they love it...!!!!

You will never be able to beat it out of them, even if you spent centuries trying.

Either way, the result is the same.

totally agree....such social discrimination is a general state of mind and not that of a specific cultural discrepancy.

I am proud to say that I have never paid even one thin dime to Adobe, never.

This does not mean that I did not use Adobe software, all of it, for free, up to around 2015.

Then, when they began with the subscription model, I stopped using it for good.

Trying to pirate a subscription is not so easy, I guess.

But, it will be best for all of us if we stop using Adobe and support the competition, what little there is.

This is the only way we will be able to do away with both Adobe, and its CEO, and also send a message to other CEOs...from India.

==================

The video in the OP is actually quite good and interesting to watch....very well done.

I have heard it said:

If buying isn't owning, piracy isn't stealing.

Obviously not since you can't name any indian software or businesses.
They have <deleted> loads of people though (an eighth of the world is indian?) so it's no wonder that a tiny proportion of them are good with computers.

They are consumate ass kissers though - as Kissinger noted in declassified conversations with Nixon - and corporates love that.

As to the OP, the subscription model is what the top corporates want so it''s what you'll get.
You can own a phone (to track you) but that;ll be about it.

Heard of the WEF - Own Nothing & Be Happy? If not, look it up

Nothing new here.
