Personally I have chickened out but solved my problem at least temporarily. Not with a Thai guy anymore. Not because I had this particular problem but in the beginning he felt he could take the liberty to play around and I thought it was a demonstration of little respect but he was also testing me and to be honest I think that was also a sign of his insicurity. He was probably also assuming that we, farang girls, are quite open and don't mind other ladies flirting with them. But he had to change his way of thinking pretty quickly and he felt quite pleased to find out that I didn't tolerate that. He became extremely possessive instead.

Unfortunately some men and women enjoy playing little games like that, here and outside Thailand. It's up to us not to let it. Sometimes obstacles are there for us to face a problem that we have to tackle and change those things that we don't want in our life, change boyfriend too, if necessary. If you see a pattern in it you must brake it. If you feel strong enough work on it, if not leave it until you are ready. That's my advice.

Girlx always says that ALL Thai men are unfaithful and we all know that she's wrong.

i am not talking about thai men being unfaithful, i am talking about farang girls being disrespectful and aggressive. chill out.

And why would that matter if you/whoever trusted their man to be faithful? It is about infidelity, because if you trust your man, there is no problem. You can even laugh at these silly girls & their pathetic attempts to ensnare a guy who loves you & wouldn't stray.

I agree with Seonai that many Thai men are faithful. Mine was & I did laugh at the girls who'd come onto him. I never got upset by it, because he never gave me the slightest hint that he even noticed them, never mind found them attractive.

I actually agree with Seonai about a lot of what she said & find some other member's outraged comments about that quite funny. But we've already discussed that elsewhere, so I'm not going to rehash it.

i already said i am not worried about whether my bf is faithful or not... he has been so far actually... but our relationship is not too restrictive. so the point was not thai men's infidelity at all... but the fact that certain girls on holiday will try to snag a man whether he is in a relationship or not. i found that behavior shockingly rude and would never do it myself. it would be nice if we could stick to the topic.

One of the reasons other farang girls go for your bfs is because they already know they like and go with farang girls. No worrying about if they only like Thai girls, no worries about trying to get on a guy that can't speak English etc.

By walking about with your Thai bfs you are advertising him as a guy that likes and and knows how to keep a farang girl happy. The 'contenders' are already halfway to their goal, they found the guy, now all they gotta do is make the guy dump their old girlfriend.......

unfortunately, i think you are right! i have noticed the same in reverse too- if a thai man is with a farang woman, other thai men (sometimes) try to pick up that farang woman.

well in fact that can be an all human thing.

I really don't see how this is an issue. Unfortunately, there will always be women who decide to try it on with guys who are in a relationship already (isn't the American word for them "skanks"? ) The issue is how your guy reacts to them, IMO.

Like Boo's hubby, my BF was a musician & used to have women coming on to him all the time. Guess it's the groupy thing Anyway, he was totally faithful to me. Came home to me every night, came straight over to my table (if I was there) any time he got a break, basically gave them no time whatsoever. If you have a guy like that, you don't need to send any messages to the women, your guy does it for you. If your guy is encouraging them, I think you have to ask yourself why you're in a relationship with him.

i dont know if im doing this right?!?!? First post!!! This is all so haunting to me.. lived ther for 4 years, with thai boyfrend im back home now over a year and nolonger with him but its bloody hard work living there esp in the area i was in!!! my confidence crashed to nothing by the time i quit and came home! not to say i think about it all the time and would LOVE to be back there for some reason ill always be drawn to it! Farrang girls DONT care when on holiday not all of them of course but if they want a man they will just go for it most of them anyway!! I dont know,, but im glad im out of the situation cause i was always looking over my shoulder. my boyfriend cheated on me there with a japanese girl (lot richer than i was of course) but there ya go,, that was just me i suppose. i had really good friends in a thai band there who used to look out for me could be your boyfriend and his friends!?!?! it is an amazing place 2 live though.... miss that place so much! ,,, i dont think id do the thai/farang realtioship again though!?!?! this is a kool forum by the way... all the questions i used to ask myself in my head when i was living there are being brought here!! pity i didnt find this then

From what i have observed the situation with ferang women and thai men

(husbands/boyfriends) is simialr to that of ferang men with thai women.

The ferang women tend to be unatractive and/or older than the thai guy - therefor

a half decent looking ferang girl thinks she has a good chance if she makes a move on the guy.

I have never really seen an atractive ferang girl with a thai guy - seem to be mostly bohemian/hippy types.

PS Try a bit of makeup and perfume, and take regular showers - like the girls who try to move in on your guys

Ha ha ha,, I was waiting for a comment like the above to be made!! Im not bloody ugly let me tell u, when i was first with a thai guy it was about 6 years ago and people were in shock!!! It has become a lot more common now but i have no trouble getting men of any type. Farang guys were always asking me what was a "good looking girl like me doing with a thai"? They couldnt understand it! Some people rekon its girls who cant get men at home and get flattered easilly on holiday by thai men telling them they beautiful,, and in some cases that is true, iv seen it quite a lot (sorry but yeah i can relate to where youre comeing from, but It wasnt the case with me though, i just fancied thai men more than westeners at the time!!! Simple as!
