BANGKOK (NNT) - The Ministry of Social Development and Human Security delivered awards to 10 people for their devotion to society. The awardees this year are recognized as role models for their devotion to helping solve the COVID-19 crisis.

Minister of Social Development and Human Security Juti Krairerk delivered the Devotees for Society awards to 10 people, for their devotion and sacrifice.

Most of the awardees this year are recognized for their contribution during the COVID-19 crisis, ranging from doctors to well-known figures in society.

One of the awardees this year is Dr. Yong Poovorawan, head of the Center of Excellence in Clinical Virology at the Faculty of Medicine, Chulalongkorn University, who serves as a government advisor for pandemic response.

Television presenter Anchalee Paireerak from TOP News is among this year’s recipients, recognized for her role in helping arrange donations for COVID-19 patients and other sectors, under the TV station’s COVID-19 assistance campaign.

Actress, hostess, and former Miss Universe Thailand Panadda Wongphudee received this year’s award in recognition for her role as the founder of a charitable organization that has provided help to both COVID-19 patients and medical professionals.

Another notable awardee this year is a well-known Thai language teacher “Kru Lily,” recognized for her continual charity work since the 2011 flood. During the Covid crisis, she sets up a kitchen to provide fresh meals to health volunteers and medical workers.

Any farangs or have you got to be 'connected'.  My vote would go to Anutin for keeping many potential tourists safe by driving them away with his ill-judged but lucrative vaccination campaign.
