swbaggies
Morning. My child is moving from a school in one province to another school in a different province. Her current visa is valid until March. As we are moving to a new school in a different province, which option would be the best for us? Would it be better to go to immigration immediately when we move or would it be OK to go in March? There is a dependent on her visa too. Thanks in advance. ubonjoe
The correct way is to have her current extension of stay (it is not a visa) canceled and apply for a new one at immigration in the province where she has moved to. A dependent visa or extension does not exist. For a extension based upon being the parent of a child attending school it should be canceled as well and a new one issued.
brewsterbudgen
I'm in a similar position, moving from Bangkok to Rayong, but presumably as I'm on an Extension of Stay based on work (which isn't changing) and my son 'piggy backs' on that as my dependent, I don't need to do anything except a new TM30/28 when we actually move?
