BANGKOK, Nov 24 (TNA) – Bangkok governor Aswin Kwanmuang followed up the construction of the Klong Chong Nonsi canal park and assured that it would open on Dec 25.

He inspected the work on the second section of the canal park from Sathon Road to Naradhiwas Rajanagarindra 7 Road. The section stretches on a distance of 200 meters and will comprise an activity field, a skywalk and an area connecting to Bangkok’s Bus Rapid Transit (BRT) system.

The construction of the second section was 50% completed and the canal park could open on Dec 25, the governor said.

January 1st Headline. New Year celebration leads to car in park canal !

Also can't help but think with it being sandwiched between two busy roads it will be one of the most unhealthy places to visit

Yeah...it's a travesty...anyway that canal in the middle of the road lined with bougenvillea flowers was always pretty nice view from the BTS and added ambiance to the area....mucking it up with a goofy looking Disney inspired water park...what were they thinking ?

Another one smart movement. Rising seas will erase Bangkok by 2050… Including canals.

It'll look fantastic when it's full of plastic, another unsightly stink-hole when the suns up in the high 30's
