Thailand's prime minister Prayuth Chan-ocha and the country's head of police Gen Suwat Chaengyodsuk both gave their views on Thailand's porous borders at a meeting of the regulatory authority of the RTP headed by the PM.

Prayuth said that foreign migrants across the border have no work and want to come to Thailand to get employment and enjoy the better Covid-19 situation.

"We have the Covid situation under control here," he observed.

Meanwhile RTP chief Gen Suwat declared his own position admitting there had been lots of incursions despite his officers who were doing their level best.

He observed that over the last two or three months the leaders of the human smuggling gangs had changed from Thais to be foreigners.

But he felt sure that Thais were still involved in the trade though he assured the meeting that absolutely no state employees were involved.

If they were, they'd face the full force of the law.

Meanwhile, the PM reminded the police and military to make sure that Thailand's borders were secure, as reported by INN with extra irony supplied by ASEAN NOW.

Visa-compliant insurance plans that meet the minimum requirement of medical treatment, including COVID-19, up to THB 3m

If the next Covid wave comes, pretty sure not from the air, but from the illegals.

He's lining up the illegals for the blame when the new strain arrives.

6 years in power ans he hasn't sorted out the border control yet..

but his officials seem to have  a tight rein on it.

The upcoming  Omicron Fear Campaign projected by global governments, corporations, and media will all but close the borders.  They only ones entering will be 'illegals.'

but close the borders.  They only ones entering will be 'illegals.'  Any thing they can do to keep in power and control the people again.

Thai corporations need labor even cheaper than indigenous Thai labor.
How porous are the borders?
As porous as they need to be.
