DJ54
Can a Cashiers Check from Chase Bank be deposited in account at Bangkok Bank? A change of direct deposit resulted in direct deposit to closed bank account in which the bank mailed a Cashiers Check to my sister house in US that I use. - Can Cashiers Check be deposited in Bangkok Bank ( I live in Northeast Udon Thani Province ) - Most recently I’ve used DHL to send envelopes here and it took 7 days... any faster service? Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated... Thanks
tonray
Yes, you can deposit it...might take a while to clear before you can access funds but the bank would be able to tell you more..
tweedledee2
I have deposited US and State tax refund checks into my BB account with immediate access to the funds. I wouldn't think there would be a problem with cashiers checks, but you probably should first check with BB, before your sister sends it.
HappyExpat57
My one and only attempt to deposit a check from a US insurance company for ~$50: I was told I had to deposit it into the original branch of SCB where I created my account and it would take 6-8 weeks to clear. As I was working at the time, I would have to have taken a day off work, it wasn't worth it. I lined the bottom of my bird cage with the paper check. 1
DJ54
Thanks everyone appreciated. I’ll try depositing it at bank. Sometimes branches have added requirements above and beyond standard requirements.
