Thai police have rescued total of 361 human-trafficking victims from Cambodia thus far this year

The Thai Police said that since January till end November,  361 suspected  human-trafficking victims have been brought back from Cambodia this year. Another three were rescued from UAE.

 

National Police chief Pol General Suwat Jangyodsuk was quoted by Thai media as stating that several suspects, both Thais and foreigners have been arrested during the various rescue operations and wait prosecution in Thai courts.

 

In November this year, in one of the biggest Thai  rescue and repatriation efforts, more than 300 Thai nationals were rescued from allegedly slave like work conditions in Phnom Penh along with the arrest of nine Thai nationals and 20 Chinese nationals. Some of the suspects await prosecution in Cambodian courts.
