a DTA doesn't absolve you from filing a tax filing in the secondary location. You will have to file in both Australia and Thailand. Even if you owe nothing in Thailand, that in itself is a huge pain in the ass. The Thailand tax calendar starts Jan 1st, the Australian tax calendar starts July 1st. That creates complexity. Then factor in getting documents translated into Thai and then getting those documents certified. Then hiring tax accountants in two countries to handle both submissions. Then discussing DTA itself, you need to look at the DTA for each category. Some will give exclusive taxing rights to one jurisdiction, others are taxed in one first and then taxed in the other. For example, if you owe 30,000 in AU but 50,000 in Thailand, you would have to pay 50,000 in Thailand and then use a tax credit against the 30,000 in AU for your AU tax return after July. The short answer is this <deleted> gets complicated at the very best, and costing you more at the worst. -

Yep, part of the job sometimes. Every year we'd bid a job position & area to work at. What ever your seniority holds, and dictated what you did, where you worked, days off & vacation time. Then people would bid to work on your crew. -

IMO the north of Thailand is one of the sweet spots for avoiding the worst effects of global warming and climate change. OTOH, places such as outback Australia, the Philippines and Florida/ California had better look out, because it is only going to get worse. -

It is not a good junction, many people dont realise that vehichles travelling along Tungklom Talman have right of way when turning right there, the road approaching from the left has a solid white line meaning vehicles (ie: the motorcycle) should stop there. -

This should have always been the policy considering how serious it is in terms of resulting in the loss of property and rights. JFK won by election fraud and they simply let it slide. The result was near nuclear war, Vietnam and Johnson's farcical "Great Society" failure. People died and an entire class of people became permanently poor as a result. People should have been executed after that election so that nobody would ever try to repeat it. Fast forward and we get Gore's hanging chad scam, Al Franken's fraudulent election, and on and on. I include Obama's "election" as well. The grandaddy so far has been 2020. It's time to end this antidemocratic nonsense and start locking up the offenders by the 10's of thousands if necessary even if a large number of the perps happen to be members of privileged racial, gender and sexual orientation groups. Doing nothing is to say goodbye forever to the two party system and the democratic republic that has all but flickered out at this point.
