webfact Posted December 24, 2021 Author Share Posted December 24, 2021 Selfridges being sold to Thai Central Group and Austrian Signa By Panithan Onthaworn Luxury British store chain Selfridges is being sold to Thailand’s Central Group and Austrian property company Signa Holding for an estimated 180 billion baht (USD 5.37 billion). Central and Signa, which already jointly run major department stores across Europe, said that they reached an agreement to acquire the brand best known for its Oxford Street store in London. There are 25 department stores worldwide under Selfridges operation. The deal will take over 18 of those, while seven stores in Canada will be excluded, according to Reuters.
