kingofallasians
Would it be possible for me to live in Bangkok with back to back visas? Maybe the 6 months entry?
DrJack54
By "live in Bangkok......". How long? Interested in plan as to where you plan to obtain second visa. By 6 month entry you mean METV? That would also require you to exit and reenter Thailand. Each entry can be extended by 30 days. Think better advice if you outline how long you would like to visit Thailand. Also confirm that your under 50. kingofallasians
I would like to live there for a year or indefinitely. I am under 50. I used to live there on an education visa then 60 day tourist visas?
Peterw42
Not sure if you have heard of the pandemic sweeping the planet, borders are shut, there are entry/exit restrictions, quarantine requirements etc, and they change on a daily basis. Most in/out options are not viable at the moment. If you can get here, you can still do an ED visa.
DrJack54
It's possible but not currently. The border runs along with obtaining tourist visas in nearby countries is not possible. Or at the very least not practical.
kingofallasians
I figured I would check in. I hate this Covid <deleted>. The ED Visa is the one where I can learn the language and stay right?

Thought you would be aware of visa education as you have had one or more previously. For many it's not to learn Thai but rather a means to stay in Thailand. The requirements regarding attendance etc have changed. Also has cost involved. Depending on age the PE visa is best option to live in Thailand ongoing while under 50. The other is marriage (perish the thought) Edited January 8, 2022 by DrJack54
