101 Covid vaccination sites opened throughout Bangkok

Thai officials nab final suspect in tiger killing, doubt their claims

Commerce ministry seeks ฿1.4bn to ease rising cost of living

The Ministry of Commerce will seek cabinet approval next week for a 1.4 billion budget, from the Central Fund, to implement projects within three months which will ease the rise in the cost of living, Commerce Minister Jurin Laksanawisit said today (Friday).

Covid-19 Could Become Endemic in 2022, Says DDC

BANGKOK (NNT) - Due to the recent announcement by the World Health Organization (WHO) which stated that it may be too early to categorize Covid-19 as an endemic within this year, Dr. Opas Karnkawinpong, Director-General of the Department of Disease Control, responded that the Ministry of Public Health is not against the announcement. He said the ministry did not mean to categorize Coronavirus as an endemic immediately. He stressed the disease can only become an endemic when it has less severity, when people’s immunity rises significantly, and when the country’s medical system is highly capable of handling it.

Six Andaman National Parks Included in Unesco World Heritage Centre’s Tentative List

BANGKOK (NNT) - The Director of the Department of National Parks, Wildlife, and Plant Conservation’s foreign affairs division, Sunee Saksuea, said after the country submitted six Andaman national parks to UNESCO for world heritage site entitlement on December 18 last year, they had made way to the tentative list already.

Police to investigate key figures behind illegal fishing
