Serial car thief and gang ringleader arrested in Bangkok and taken to Ratchaburi

Thai authorities announced the arrest of the leader of a car theft gang called Nakharin "Krit" Ngernsuwan, 46, and another gang member Khunakon "Pe" Phanngern, 28.

 

This followed the theft of a pick-up outside a house in Ratchaburi. 

 

The suspects were picked up at Mo Chit bus station and taken back south to face charges. 

 

Daily News reported that Nakharin was wanted on no less than seven warrants for vehicle theft and had been in jail multiple times but always seemed to serve short sentences before getting out and reoffending. 

 

Police intend to make him pay properly this time after the gang were responsible for a string of car and bike thefts that reached the ears of the upper echelons of the RTP.

And therein lies the problem regardless of the offense.
